Meron palang Instrumentation and Control Engineering. Ano po yun, pwede i-share?

Not sure kung aling school sa Phill ang nag o-offer. But I guess ang Don Bosco Technical College or Rizal Technical College might already has this course. With my experience, sila yung mga school na nag offer before ng Instrumentation Technician courses in the late 80s. During my college days (1978 to 83), ang ECE ang Engg na nearest sa Instrumetation and control. Its all about plant maintenance initially but lately instrumentation became more attached to plant instrumentation engineering like system and field designs. Its a very broad subject because it also deals with IT related issues. If you want to work with manufacturing plants and fields like computer then ICE is a good course. And its not only limited to manufacturing plants but to car manufacturing too. Most of car onboard computers are designed by ICE and with my experience I have done instrumentation job with aero-derivative engines, industrial gas turbines and Internal Combustion Engines with electronic fuel governors.

Hello dunzhieq, with the description given by tpbsap about ICE, I suggest you hop to different categories where you may see your post appropriate. Example, you can put engine issues under ME, IT related issues under ECE or CoE, and industrial plant issues under ME or ChE as appropriate.

Wala po. Certifications lang. Parang CpE/CoE, pinagkaiba lang is isa lng ATA ung certification exam, unlike sa CoE/CpE marami like Cisco, Linux etc.. d ko n alam ung iba..hehehe.

Lahat ata ng certifications may expiration so, na-eexpire ang certification sa ICE, kasi ganun din sa CpE/CoE after 3 years pag Cisco Certified ka. :)

if you want to fast track ICE, go to MFI Technological Institute(formerly known as Meralco Foundation Institute). Meron sila dung Instrumentation Technology. 3 years lng yun,graduate kna...mgaganda naririnig ko na feedback sa kanila...try nyo maginquire...

Only RTU-Rizal Technological University and BSU-Batangas State University offered Bachelor of Instrumentation and Control Engineering. MERALCO is also offering Instrumentation and Control , a 3 year course.

As of now, ICE is not covered yet or under PRC. So, there is no licensure yet for this profession.

There is no board exam for ICE, it is only a Certification given by PICS.

ICE certification as far as i know is not recognize by PRC. (correct me if i'm wrong)

You can even take the Certification exam without taking ICE course which is 2 years.

Just take a short term course for Instrumentation and control, or read some books about Instrumentation and Control then apply for ICE certification.

PICS was founded 1977 however, there are only few ICE's in the Philippines (less than a thousand).

ahh... thanks bro for the comment, ... yung ICE certification pala issued from PICS is just a certificate or acknowledgment from the organization that you have the technical or engineering skills to practice on this field (tama po ba ako?)... kala ko kasi, they issues professional license.

I was a graduate of ICET at tup-manila. undergrad ICE at rtu-boni. i thought only RTU offers the course for ICE. I just need to reenrol the course because I find my job,as tech support and sales as well, so difficult. probably because i didnt practise it for 3 yrs. is there any short course/diploma for the course? does tesda offer one?... thanx guys
